Middle East ≠ “Muslim” or “Islamic” world

One would think this would be rather clear by now, right?

A family of Muslims crossing the street?

Actually No. This is a family in Israel who practices an orthodox form of Judaism called Haridim. So… the niqab/veil is not exclusively a practice of Islam. Other religions recognize covering modestly in public, and the veil as an obligation from God as well.

Something to think on…

Interesting, I’ve never seen this before from Jewish ppl.

8 misconceptions about Muslims

You know what bothers me? The fact that I have to explain myself and what I do and believe and why, over and over again! and it’s the same shallow questions but you know what? The word Islam has been here for over 1400 years, but Islam -the religion- is here since Adam PBUH stepped on earth. So, if you’re still asking and you’re still don’t know what it is. Then with all due respect, you have to explain to me the reason that make you think it’s wrong or bad or whatever else that you’re thinking, I personally don’t know anything in this world that last for such a long time without changing for anyone or any reason. What’s wrong is not Islam, it’s us! Muslims and non-Muslims equally. I am not Islam- I wish I can represent it, but I’m all flaws-, my country-Saudi Arabia- is not Islam.. everything today fails to show you what Islam is. And that’s my point! The easiest subject to search is religion, you just have to read the holy book to know what it is. So, if you can’t understand something about Islam, go read our Quran and you’ll have the answer, you’ll have the truth.

Hey! Happy valent-
Why would you not celebrate Valentines just because of your religion? Valentines isn't a religious holiday, so people of any religion can enjoy it!
Anonymous

With all due respect Anon, I think it is a religious holiday.. let’s see what Wikipedia say about it?

Valentine’s Day,is a holiday observed on February 14 honoring one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentinus.

 oops! ;D

And besides, if valentine is about love.. pure love, then my religion is all about love! you know the word love was mentioned in Qur’an 70 times? We don’t need a day to show people we love them, we don’t celebrate the way some people think is how to show love. We Muslims know the different between love and like and admire and passing crush, and we know how to love someone a true, pure, and forever lasting love for the sake of Allah.

A man once came to the Prophet ( s.a.a.w ) and asked him about the hereafter. The Prophet asked him, “And what have you prepared for that time?” The man replied, “Nothing, except that I love Allah(God) and I love you.” The Prophet (s.a.a.w) answered him, “You are with the ones you love.

Don’t worry Anon, I enjoy everyday of my life, no need for special days ;).
